1. Because things just happen.
Good/bad has nothing to do with it.

2. I feel your pain.
I have still not fully recovered from the emotional tragedy of 12:43 PM, Thursday, May 7. And I may never fully recover.

3. As long as you're alive, stuff is going to happen.
Good stuff, bad stuff, neutral stuff. That you may be a good person doesn't make you bulletproof or guarantee you a trouble free life. Good or bad you still get some heartache and some joy.

7. Life -
sometimes it's like a cold sore attack - comes in clusters.

You get through. Somehow you get through.

Good luck, lost, to you and your loved ones.......................

8. My problems pale in comparison to what Midlo and her family
are facing. I can't imagine looking at tomorrow and not know if you're going home a widow.

9. I wish there was an answer to that
other than statistical distribution. :(

I wish there really was some time of rhyme or reason to what happens or why. I wish we could appeal for good things to happen. I wish we really did or could have thing happen because it is what we deserve, because then we could earn our way out of all this bad stuff.

But it's all just random bad stuff.

And the parts of it that are not random, the parts of it that can be influenced and controlled, most of that is influenced at the environmental level by corporations and governments for profit and power were we have no voice and are of no consequence. :(

13. Things happen because we can't script life -

All we can do is be here for each other when something is happening.

 for you, for Midlo, for everyone who's facing immense hurt because life has been spiraling out of their control.

and  for my Laz, who tomorrow morning will be going in for 3 hours of seven small surgeries on his sinuses, his throat, and his larynx that will hopefully correct his sleep apnea and keep him from dying before his time because he's been unable to breath a sufficient amount of oxygen in his sleep for the past few years.

14. Because events in nature have no intelligence; No bias.
In a non-conscious unintelligent universe, there is no such thing as good and bad. There are simply events that change the nature of certain aspects of the universe.

However, humans are self-aware and have the capacity to utilize logical reasoning. We are finite beings with certain limitations. We are beings with the capacity to suffer and therefore there are otherwise unintelligent, base reactions that affect us in significant ways.

It is not that objectively bad things happen to human beings. Our limited perspective translates such events as bad or harmful. Nature is simply running it's course.

Life can be so cruel sometimes. We can send our love, prayers, and good vibes. Wait for good news and be there if she needs us.
