My mother-in-law has square plates (with rounded corners). They're pretty on the table, but they just don't "feel" right to me.

I was kidsitting a teenager once and she put her hot spaghetti in microwave on defrost to cool it down. :P

Eating off of them makes the meal feel more special to me :shrug: like folded napkins under the knife & fork.
