"You have no control over your cat! You can't say 'Cat, heel! stay! wait! lie down, roll over.' The cat will just be sitting there going 'interesting words, have you finished?'"

1. Cats go "bpbpbpbpb"
"because they're drilling!"

And then there's Pavlov's Cats

“Pavlov’s Cat Results – Day One – rang bell… cat fucked off. Damn… Day Two – rang bell, cat went and answered door. Day Three – rang bell, cat said he’d eaten earlier. Day Four – went to ring bell on day four, but cat had stolen batteries. Final day – Day Five – went to ring bell with new batteries, but cat put his paw on bell, so it only made a ‘thunk!’ noise. Then cat rang his own bell! I ate food…”

2. An Eddie Izzard thread, COOL!
I just added his stand-up DVDs to my netflix list for a second viewing. I'm still pissed a fox for canceling "The Riches".

He is one of the funniest people in show business today.

3. Eddie Izzard is a brilliant comedian
I just downloaded his "Unrepeatable" CD onto my Iphone. I liked The Riches and I thought Izzard should have been nominated for awards as well as Mini Driver. However, there are only so many episodes that you can continue to hammer the two main themes: gypsies living in a palace, keeping their con going. I thought by the second season those themes had gotten stale and they should've moved on to other things in the story.

5. The premise was starting to run thin.
But I was still curious where he would take it during a third season. The children characters, the neighbors and the boss were just starting to get interesting.

I should have expected the axe. Just about every series on fox that I start to like gets canceled. That's why I refused to watch "The Riches" until they announced a second season and released the first one on DVD.
