Damn! I haven't seen Lilith , the calico kitty |
|
in three days . She ignores me anxiously calling of her name.
Lilith is a very independent "don't tred on me" one year old . Thankfully her babymaker has been broken , so I don't have to worry about her returning with a family.
I sure wish she would come home .
I miss her .

2. She's probably just doing that "walkabout" that all cats seem compelled... |
|
to do at least once in their lives

5. I bet she will be back... |
|
every one of our cats has done that. Even our suck kitty who is seemingly afraid of the wind and falling leaves once took off for four days.

14. My cat got herself stranded for 4 weeks midwinter - I found her almost dead |
|
it was two years before she would play again - but she was a tiger at the food bowl. I think the escapade led to her early death - but what a great day when I found her. She drank water, ate food, threw up and jumped on my bed.

|
stopped at her food dish and gobbled up some food, Jumped up on my lap for a few seconds and them went and laid down on my bed where she got her belly rubbed and went to sleep.

I love calicos. They're the feminists of the kitty world.
One Thanksgiving we were just getting ready to serve dinner when a calico walked into the dining room! Afterward we left to house-sit for some friends. Days later I got out of the car, and there she was, winding around my legs -- our new third kitty!
Just this morning I had another lovely session with a feral calico who lives across the street from a homeless shelter near work. The shelter people have sort of adopted her and several others; there's always cat food scattered over there, and plastic water dishes. So she's way more social than most ferals. She even lets me pick her up now! :loveya:

15. I would put up signs around the neighbourhood right away in case someone |
|
found her and turned her into the pound. I had a friend one time who left her cat with a roomate. The roomate lost the cat and didn't ask the local pound if the cat had been turned in. Turns out the cat got put to sleep before my friend got home and started looking for her (or something like that).
