8. It's a false reading of the text itself, as well as a false reading of the Bible

plus, it's Bible-worship; or, perhaps one could say, a deification of the text itself as well as making an idolatry of one specific interpretation of the text (an interpretation which is wrong) and it limits God in a most unfaithful and narrow way.

But, fundies LOVE narrow, small, minuscule gods.

Can I prove it's blasphemous or heretical? Probably not; these are nebulous concepts. But in my opinion, it is, and in the tradition of mainline Protestantism, as well as the Catholic Church, it is.

12. I was talking to this nice guy in the park the other day, and he started waxing philosophical about

Noah's Ark, and how every creature that exists today must have been on it. And he's passing that shit down to his kids. I quickly excused myself (although a large part of that is that my 2-year-old was getting a bit far away).

I know those people are out there, but it kinda surprised me to be coming from a middle class guy in Seattle.
