It was the name of some guy that my husband had to make collection calls while working at Northeast Utilities here in CT. He had a whole printout of tons of hilarious names.
I would add "Wad" to that list....

My Mom used to work in a hotel and people would write their names last name first. So one guy was being a little "funny" and he wrote his name Stiff, Dick. No-one wanted to call his name.

He was a great guy IMO, a bit of a womaniser, but still IMO OK in my book. He ended up joining the British Army.
He refused to be addressed by his first name. He hated it. Just went by his last name.
