Is there any place like this in the US? |
|
(1) A relatively big city, (2) In a mountainous area, (3) That has a body of water nearby large enough that it looks like an ocean (meaning that I can't see land on the other side).
Some other less important characteristics are:
(4) In a cold state. (5) In a Blue state.
I'd like to live somewhere like this. Does such a place exist? :)

I actually thought about living there. I didn't know about they had mountains. I like it because it supposedly rains all the time, and I like the rain myself :)
The only part that will suck is having to do the pacific time computations after having lived on the east coast all my life :(

3. A couple of possibilities: Seattle, Portland OR, Duluth/Superior |

The case for Duluth:
(1) Population 250,000 (admittedly not that big) (2) Iron Range relatively close by (3) Lake Superior!
(4) Minnesota (5) Minnesota
There's also Vancouver, BC. Not the states, but a beautiful city.
