I have learned to embrace my height. :)

I'm happy to be this height now (57 years old)and trying hard not to shrink :-).

20. 6'2" And, yeah, I'm cool with it I guess.
Like someone else said in this thread, I never really give much thought to it. ... except in those rare instances when someone is so much taller than I am that I have to look way up at them. That usually means they've gotta have at least half a foot on me. And then I realize that the way I'm looking at them is the way anyone under 5'8" looks at me. Then I guess it's kinda weird, because I don't really consider myself "tall" per se.

And yes I am happy with my height.

It is a gruesome story how I came to be tall; I was once a little boy, and then I grew some.

Actually in high school I was very unathletic and very poor at sports, especially team sports. So I always hated it very much when somebody would ask me if I played basketball. I still have never come to like or enjoy team sports, but I started running to be in shape when I was in college, and I am still doing that, even at age 58.

I have been a member of the San Diego chapter of the http://www.tall.org/">Tall Club since 1991, and have enjoyed social activities with them. The Tall Club has a little over 50 chapters in different cities, and the height requirements are 6'2" for men and 5'10" for women. The San Diego chapter was very active in the mid 1990's, but has been relatively inactive in recent years.

I love dancing with tall women, particularly slow dancing.

53. Normal ebb and flow of interest
Many of the people lost interest.

Also the club had not been attracting younger members in recent years; most of the active members are people my age, some older, and some a little bit younger, and many have been in the club for ages.

We still have occasional activities from time to time which are announced by e-mail (rather than planned ahead and put in a monthly newsletter like we had done before).

Then again, my new favorite human being of all time is all of 3'8"! Imagine how much greener the world would be if we were all her size. Houses and cars would be smaller. Multi-story buildings would be shorter. It would even take less resources to feed and clothe us! :-)

Actually, I'm a quarter of an inch from 6'3", but I can't stand people who exaggerate their height. I have almost as much disrespect for any adult who insists on adding the fraction when asked their height - "How tall am I? I'm six-two and three quarters, and I'll bet that additional three quarters of an inch really impresses the fuck out of you."

I'm fine with my height, no desire to be taller or shorter.
