UPDATE- Oscar The Old, Overweight Beagle Finds His Family

Found an old, overweight beagle wandering slowly down the road last night just as it was getting dark.

No collar and houses in area weren't occupied since they're weekend estates for wealthy.

Brought him home & notified police with my phone number.

First thing this morning I called Animal Control (they hold dogs for 10 days and then hand them to Animal Rescue Fund which only adopts out animals).

Animal Control woman came by to pick up the dear doggie and one minute after she left I got a phone call from a young lady looking for Oscar the Beagle! The police had given her my number. I told her to call AC to pick up dog and gave a one sentence lecture about fencing him in etc. It seems the family has kids who left gate open.

SO HAPPY!

Celebrate for Oscar. A good boy who found his family.

When I was younger "Midge the old, overweight Beagle" got out when some dumb kid (me) left the gate open. For three days I was heartbroken and wracked with guilt until a kind person such as yourself found her wandering around and made sure she got back home.

13. Some university student just handed me her 1 year old cat as she was

moving. I put posters up everywhere to get him adopted. A young family came along and wanted him. It was such a relief. I don't know how you leave a pet at the pound. That would just tear me up so much.
