Anyone work for AT&T as a premises tech?
I know this is a long shot - but does anyone here work for AT&T as premises tech?

I have been looking for a new job. I got an invitation from AT&T to go to testing for this position.

Anything I should keep in mind in the pre-hire process? Are they usually pretty direct, or do they string you along?

1. I've never been an AT&T premises tech
But I've worked with a lot of them over the past 25 years. I don't know how they are lately, but usually the people who do get hired by them stay with them until retirement, so apparently they are relatively good employer. Their techs seem to be competent and well trained compared to other carriers I've worked with.

I can imagine them intentionally stringing you along. It may seem that way just because their hiring process takes a while and they have a lot of hoops for you to jump through and they may never give you a "no" answer and instead just keep your app on file. If you want the job, it's best to just go through the process and don't count on anything until it happens.
