anyone familiar with PATH trains to NY?
I'm driving in and am wanting to leave my car in NJ and take the train over.
Does anyone know of a good location - easy to find from interstate, reasonable parking for three days?

1. You might do better at an NJ Transit rail station
trains are less frequent, and more expensive, but most do go right to Penn Station in midtown.

PATH is designed mostly for commuters who either walk to the station (as I did for a couple of years) or take a bus or train to a connecting point like Newark or Hoboken. It's almost like a subway except it goes to NJ. NJ Transit is designed for commuters who drive from their town to a nearby station, so most stations have parking.

3. Look on their site
that really wasn't my part of the state, but I believe the Raritan line roughly parallels 78. From there the discussion comes full circle, as you transfer in Newark to a mitown-bound train -- or PATH!

6. Unless you are staying near the city, then forget about the Path.
Take the train in from as close to where you are. Take the train to Newark, and then take the Path in.

9. There are 3 parking garages in Hoboken
right by the train station. The farthest one would not be too bad. You get to them by getting off in Hoboken right before the Lincoln Tunnel. You can also go to Pen Station Newark and use the parking there or the Harrison train station (which has secure parking). Getting to those 2 a little bit trickier, but probably cheaper.

10. Weekend or Weekday?
I use the Path on weekends, and it is great because it is frequent, cheap and gives you a choice of 6 stations in Manhattan. There is plenty of parking available on weekends in decks and lots near most Path stations. I think Sunday on-street parking may be free near Exchange Place.

Many of the parking lots near the NJ transit train stations in towns are limited to town residents only (last time I checked, which was many years ago).

There is a new stadium under construction at the Harrison Path station, so there is less parking there than usual.

And Ill meet you at the station.
You can be be there by four thirty,
cause I made your reservation.
Dont be slow, oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!

cause Im leavin in the morning
And I must see you again
Well have one more night together
til the morning brings my train.
And I must go, oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!
And I dont know if Im ever coming home.

Take the PATH train to Clarksville.
Ill be waiting at the station.
Well have time for coffee flavored kisses
And a bit of conversation.
Oh... oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!

Take the PATH train to Clarksville,
Now I must hang up the phone.
I cant hear you in this noisy
Railroad station all alone.
Im feelin low. oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!
And I dont know if Im ever coming home.

Take the PATH train to Clarksville,
Take the PATH train to Clarksville,
