anybody else on a staycation?

one of the best things about chicago is that it is a great town to have a staycation. it was looking like we just weren't going to squeeze in a break this summer, so we took this week off to pretend we were tourists. this is the third time we have done this, and it is always fun.
it has been great, and beer o'clock arrived at 3:30 ct today.

On a good day we might have enough money to drive across town.

3. This week.

I'm one of the few that like the sweltering heat. But it's been mostly grey all week. I've been cheated. Work owes me, damnit.

I am contemplating a trip in the Autumn. There are a few places left (see before dying) I'd like to visit before travelling will become economically impossible.
