1. As cool as my all-time favorite Eric Burdon album:


...he found a guy named Aalon who specialized in howling-ass Jimi Hendrix-style guitar.

"Stop"...the second album by this band...wasn't as good as "Sun Secrets," but the CD reissue had them both for the price of one, so who's to complain?

The stand-out track was the re-recording of The Animals song "When I Was Young." Burdon reverts to his feral state, Aalon is a damned Voodoo Chile.

If you "remotely" like Burdon and don't have this CD, GET THIS CD.

12. Sun Secrets is a great album.
The version of "Don't let me be misunderstood" is still the one my band plays. We've been doing it that way for 25 or so years.

One of his albums I like a lot also is "Survivor". I don't think it will ever be released on CD though.

He has 2,600 friends and several of them have the last name of Burdon. I guess you never really know for sure.

15. But it's Eric Burdon. He impressed everyone out here in Gainesville.
He was one of the speakers here last year at local resident Bo Diddley's funeral. I know some of Bo's old jam partners, they were impressed.
