"To each generation a Slayer is born..." Help. I'm watching Buffy again.
Already totally hooked. You understand this will involve the whole series of infatuations from Buffy to Spike to Willow to Tara and beyond. Elshiva, where are you when I require you? And I suddenly miss that sweet DUer who one day decided her good friends were her enemies... I won't try to remember her screename, but I remember that she and my other old friend, Haruka, once agreed to spend an evening taking turns in bed with one another and with Spike (this was before her marriage, naturally).

Ah... the good old, Bush days, when we were all united. How I miss them!

4. She might be.
She recently turned me on to "Firefly" which stars an actor I think is attractive - I didn't realize it was a Joss Whedon production but should have known when she mentioned it. There's nothing like Buffy, though.

5. Nothing like Buffy is right.
Whedon is going to have a hard time repeating that success.

6. I don't expect him to.
I was watching his newest deal, Dollhouse, and got caught up into it. It has some of the same elements as Buffy but there is something about the high school/college/still time to fix things aspect of Buffy that appeals. I am hoping they bring back Dollhouse. It's pretty cool.

7. Dollhouse is good.
But with Buffy,I'd be darn sure to tape it,if I couldn't watch it at the time.

20. Dollhouse is back for Season 2 - starts Sept 25th
and looks to be awesome. The ep Fox decided not to air - "1x13: Epitaph One" changes everything. You can get it with the box set of Dollhouse (as well as Joss's original pilot) or can be found various places online. A shockingly wild turn for Dollhouse. Good stuff.

16. I met Aly Hannigan once...
It was about the time of the show's second season. There was a Sci-fi Convention at a hotel near my office, so I wandered over there during lunch hour. The convention hadn't yet started, and I found her sitting around in the lobby. They decided to set up a table in an adjoining room for an autograph session, and she and I helped carry the table there.

She was a really nice girl, very down to earth. (I remember her talking with one of her younger female fans about what hair color she was using, since the producers of the show required her to have her hair a different color than it was naturally.) I'm sure that, if I had been a couple decades younger and a lot more single ;-) , I would have had one of my all-time crushes.

9. I completely missed Angel when it was first on, it was just on the wrong nights and I couldn't watch
it. But I caught up when they did reruns at 5 in the morning and I was working the night shift. :) I'd get home around 3-4ish, and eat dinner while watching Angel. Go to bed when the sun came up.

It wasn't until after I quit the night shift job that it finally occurred to me that I was living a vampiric lifestyle, what with the going out when the sun went down and going to bed when the sun came up. That was also about the time that I realized if those damn meddling dentists hadn't tried to make my teeth 'normal' and put them all in the right place, I TOTALLY would have had natural vampire fangs. Which would have been all manner of awesome.

12. I sort of love your post.
My teeth are fine, but I'm nocturnal and singleminded - I only lack the *hot* to be a vampire.

You know, you can have that tooth thing reversed.

But the magic of Hulu.com has allowed me to start now. I am halfway through season 2. This is a ridiculous show.

18. Best show ever
I'm pathetic ... I rewatch the series in it's entirety all the time, and when I'm done I start again. I've seen every episode at least 10 times and I don't think I'm going to stop any time soon. It's sad but I still love it as much as ever.

19. The Buffy Season 8 comics have been great too - same writers as the show
I've never had more fun reading a comic collection. These feel just like a continuation of Season 7. My local library carries them all. Check um out!
