It was pretty funny. But I was a little disappointed that they were in character. I wanted to see how Mike Smith (Bubbles) really talks. Anybody ever seen him when he wasn't playing the character?

1. Mike was the guitar player for the band Sandbox in the 90's
They had a big hit up here called "Curious":

4. It's the same vocal timber, but pretty exaggerated
There's a few clips on youtube that have some behind the scenes footage from the early years of TPB where he speaks in his normal voice..

I'm actually a US Expat turned permanent resident; I've been up here 9 years and I'll be getting citizenship in 2010. I've fallen madly in love w/ Canada like a crushing 13 year old schoolgirl, and I can't imagine living anywhere else now.

5. I've had a crush on Canada since I was a child
Never have actually been there. Weird, that. But ever since I sent off requests to the Canadian government as a first grade grade one student for "information" about their country, and got a thick manilla envelope of shiny documents in the mail, I've had a crush. Canada seems like what the US should be. Alas.

Thanks for the youtube tip. I'll look for the clips.

6. the week in unnecessary censorship was pretty funny too
And Tom Arnold was the first guest. He cracks me up. He told about the time Roseanne stabbed him. And he showed the scar!
