| I had a long, serious talk with my psychiatrist about the Democratic Underground Lounge. |

He informed me that a forum such as this could cause an internet addiction, which is a real problem that can sometimes require treatment. He also said that the anonymity of a board such as this is not really good for my mental health, because people talk to others in such a way that they would never do in real life. He expressed a genuine concern about my well being, and insisted that I cease all posting activities.
I have been thinking about this all weekend, and I have come to the only rational conclusion possible.
I have decided to never ever tell my psychiatrist again that I post on Democratic Underground.
