I know it's wrong, BUT
I really don't want to go to jury duty this morning. It's a 2 week commitment starting today, and I'm already going on a couple hours of sleep and the beginnings of an anxiety attack. I don't know if I can do this for 2 weeks. I really wish I had a doctor right now. I'd be on the phone trying to get excused.

This is going to royally suck.:cry::cry:

1. Quick - get a permantent marker and and old T-shirt and get to work.
Carefully write in bold letters on the front of the shirt:

"HE'S GUILTY AS FUCK!"

Then on the back, write:

"Hang, Shoot, Zap, Jab, whatever - JUST EXECUTE HIM!"

That will get you off the jury, although it might get you a few other things too.

3. Chances are that if you get on a jury
Edited on Mon Jul-27-09 11:46 AM by Bertha Venation
it won't be two weeks. It could take less time than that. They could settle (if civil) or plea bargain (if criminal).

Best of luck, Venus.

4. Well, I guess anxiety is a good enough reason to be excused.
I burst into tears when they handed me my paper work. The jury commissioner took me into his office and talked to me about my anxiety. Then he excused me. I feel guilty and happy at the same time. I would love to be able to serve, but my brain just doesn't cooperate when my routine is disrupted. I wonder if I'll ever get over anxiety attacks.

Thanks for all the well wishes. You are terrific people.:loveya:

6. I served on a jury for a trial once
but that was only because I wanted to. Now that I have served, I get out of it be declaring my hearing impairment or the the fact I have aids.

5. I like Denver County jury duty policy
you either serve on a jury or get sent home..on the same day.
