1. It's not just guinea pigs, though - they're G-Force!
but, I think with no new HP books on the horizon, everybody went to see that movie its first weekend to get their HP fix.

3. I remember when one would have to wait a week or two to see a hit movie

unless one was willing to brave long lines. That no longer seems to be the case. With the googleplex theaters there seems to be no problem getting as many people as possible in to see new movies.

4. True - I remember huge lines to see Jaws & Star Wars
back in the 70s. Nowadays, every theater has 8+ screens and has no problem showing a new movie on 2, 3 or 4 screens.
