From the great world of wisdom that is Yo Gabba Gabba: Don't Bite Your Friends.
So on my vacation I had some downtime and I was watching some television with my one and half year old. And for the first time I was introduced to the WTF world that is Yo Gabba Gabba.

Usually when I try to describe something nebulous, it isn't nearly as weird as how I describe it. Yo Gabba Gabba, on the other hand, is every bit as weird as how I try to describe it. ("You see, there's this skinny black man with black framed glasses wearing an orange suit and a fuzzy orange hat, and he has these minature characters--one of them vaguely resembling a one eyed textured condom--and he watches them dance around on a table below him.....")

Now, most kids shows try to be educational. And educational usually entails ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. Yo Gabba Gabba, on the other hand, has different lessons to be taught.

So, without further adieu, I present to you....."Don't Bite Your Friends":

Amazing.

It actually would have worked wonders at GDP during the 2008 Primaries, don't you think?

1. Rarely has a show been more influenced by LSD.
I mean, that's really the only explanation for Yo Gabba Gabba. I don't have kids, but my wife hepped me to the show's existence after seeing it with her nephew. I think my initial reaction was to just stare dumbfounded for bout 20 seconds.

2. I swear, I felt like I was in a paralyzed trance when I was watching it.
At the end, when the strange happy black man dressed all in orange with the fuzzy hat puts away all the characters into their boxes, it has this trippy trance techno music that lulls you in to a catatonic state.

3. My friends were on there
There's a weird tie between that show and So Cal Ska/Reggae. Check out my friends playing a song on Yo Gabba Gabba.

4. I have to say that all kids I know LOVE that show.
It is educational. And it teaches the basics such as "Don't Bite Your Friends".

My personal fave is "There's a party in my tummy, so yummy, so yummy". You see the carrots and green beans were sad that they weren't invited to the party with the cupcakes, etc. So, he had to eat the carrots and green beans so they could go to the party in the tummy! :7

6. As weird as it is, there is an common sense educational aspect to it.
In its own twisted, bizzare way it does teach good behavioral skills to kids.

It still comes off as a crazy acid trip. Which is why I guess it catches my attention.

7. The first time I saw it, I thought it was wacked!
I hated it. But, after watching it A LOT (Bella loves it), I changed my opinion on it.
