Of fer christ's sake, TITANIC to get 3-D makeover
Jack and Rose's "Titanic" love will indeed go on... and on... and on thanks to a newly announced 3D makeover. The MTV Movies Blog caught up with "Titanic" director James Cameron at Comic-Con where he revealed his plans to "dimensionalize" the 1997 blockbuster.

Working on the upcoming 3D flick "Avatar" is what inspired James Cameron to give his watery epic the multi-dimensional makeover. According to Cinematical, the process will take one year to 14 months to complete, meaning the revamped film could likely hit the big screen sometime in 2011, probably around the much-coveted holiday season.

News that Rose (Kate Winslet), Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and their "Titanic" shipmates will rise again in 3D got us thinking about which scenes we're stoked to see in eye-popping detail.

2. 3D is generally not reproduced on home theater systems
so I imagine the movie houses are quite fond of the 3D movies.

4. especially the new 3D movies
for movies like Up and G-Force, I'm seeing a set of times for the regular version and a set of times for the 3-D versions. Twice the amount of theaters and double the amount of bodies, so double the profit.

11. Polishing a turd just leaves you with a shiny turd.
Titanic sucked to begin with (except for the naked Kate Winslet). Why don't film makers start remaking GOOD stuff, or better yet, think of some *original* ideas?

Kate Winslets boobs in 3D. You all were thinking it.

13. And even then I'd wait for it to get to the bargain theater.
I'm not paying full price eve for Winslet boobs, even in 3-D.

Otherwise, though, there really is no reason to turn that piece of shit into a 3D movie. Or even to ever mention it again.

18. Most. Overrated. Movie. Ever.
Yeah, the special effects were bleeding edge eleven years ago, but that still didn't justify the number of Oscars that shitburger of a film won.

20. I went to see a play last week. All the characters on stage were in 3D. It was so life like.
Almost as good as going to the movies.
