"Swedes miss Capri after GPS gaffe"
"A Swedish couple in search of the isle of Capri drove to Carpi, an industrial town in northern Italy, because they misspelt the name in their car's GPS.

Italian officials say the couple asked at Carpi's tourist office where they could find Capri's famous Blue Grotto. "

3. It boggles my mind how subservient people are to their technology
I have friends who will insist on going well out of the way to obey the computer, even when a superior route is evident on a map or even in plain sight.

5. I think it depends on whether one can read a map
I've been in Montreal 16 months, my sister 20+ years. I can read a map, she - not so much. On the day we were going to a funeral and her GPS had us going in little fart circles because it didn't know about major road works on the way, I called on my Google maps memorization superpowers and told her how to get there. She was happy to be on time, but slightly frosted that I apparently know the city better than she does.

9. Makes you wonder what the "sights" are there.
It could be an adventure of sorts.

7. Garbage in, garbage out applies here.
You can't really blame the GPS for this.

10. Fy fan!
Swedish doesn't have many harsh expressions. Fy fan is most common and it's English equivalant something like oh golly. More than likely they'd say in English - f*cking.
