"F" Joan Rivers if she can't take a joke (gets pissed off, drops F-bomb during TV interview)

Posted Jul 28th 2009 12:23PM by TMZ Staff

A live interview with Joan Rivers went horribly wrong on "Good Day Sacramento" this morning -- after a reporter pissed off the comic so much, that she killed the segment and dropped the F-Bomb on LIVE TV!!

It all went down after one of the reporters tried to crack a joke about Joan's daughter -- but Rivers wasn't laughing.

Instead, she cussed the guy out until the people at the show cut off her mic ... too little too late.

1. Kinda looks like one of her faces is coming off in that pic
:scared:

The local talent always thinks they can yuck it up with the pros. Hey, rube - your job is to be the straight man and let the professional get the laughs.

2. I'm guessing that morning team walked in and asked "who are we interviewing today"...
...and then someone replied "Joan Rivers" and one or more of them responded "You've got to be KIDDING me."

It's interesting that Rivers, who never hesitates for a moment to take a cheap shot at anyone, living or dead (witness her recent Michael Jackson & Johnny Carson remarks) got so incensed over something so true, which is that without her coattails, daughter Melissa would be on the other side of the red carpet's velvet rope. That young lady didn't achieve anything as the result of "talent."

8. Maybe she can take it when it's about HER
Just not when it's about her kid.

So who WOULDN'T defend their kid. What's so surprising?

3. Meh. She took it easy on them.
What's she supposed to do, say "Yeah, my daughter is talentless and is riding my coattails--sorry, Honey?" Of course she's going to make the footage unusable.

5. You're allowed to say anything if you're defending your spouse, child, goalie or quarterback.
Even Rivers.

7. She hasn't been funny since 1975.
And even then it was borderline. Now she's as funny as a fire at an orphanage.

There have been some pretty funny Orphanage Fires... I remember one in '86 that was a hoot.

12. I didn't think it was that cold
"Hey, how did you get so rich?" "By riding on my Mom's coattails!" "Hey Melissa, this is MY show!"
That was the whole thing, not so bad really. Nothing like the nasty things she says about other people.

10. She hasn't been funny since she became one of the people she used to make fun of.

Yeah. I just ended a sentence in a proposition.

And Joan Rivers funniness and relevance ended somewhere around the time of the emergence of transistors.

She once upon a time had some biting social commentary.

She's now a vapid, bitter, old woman with a stretched-tight face and the gig of making surly comments about people going to a party which she's not invited to.

Yeah. I just ended that sentence in a proposition too.

Fuck the grammar police.

14. Don't go after her kid
She makes fun of herself ALL the damn time so she obviously doesn't take herself too seriously. As a general rule however, don't go after someone's kid and expect to have that person laugh along. This isn't rocket science.

18. I have to agree, if he had made a joke about her plastic surgeries
she would have one-upped him, and been quite funny, but she is known to be protective of her daughter.
