Crap, DUers. Tell me your woes. Here's mine: I deleted by mistake
a picture of Xander from Buffy. A current pic, and let me tell you,m he looks great with mature facial hair.

Also: help. Could this be midlife crisis? If so, let me die tomorrow and be born on Friday. Aging is for IDIOTS. Or, tell me differently.

1. My dear crim son!
I'm sorry about your mistaken deletion...

And you know that anyone can do that, young, old, doesn't matter...

Aging is NOT for idiots! I'm certainly aging, and I hope I'm not an idiot...at least most of the time, lol!

:hi:

2. My current woe is how damned HOT it is here, and has been for the
past few days. Wednesday is supposed to be even hotter. ACK!!!

And btw, aging does have some drawbacks, but there are also some great things about it.

6. My mother wrote from Oregon today to tell me it was 107 degrees.
Young or old, that sucks, though at least she has AC.

With regard to your philosophy on aging: did you always believe that, or is it an acquired understanding? I had this man tell me a few years ago - his wife was dying and he had many problems but he wasn't older than seventy - "There are no golden years." The comment has never been forgotten.

That's an aside, though. What about the ridiculous lust? Does that pass?

Kidding, a bit.

7. My mother always said, "You're not old unless you're 107 and feel it."
Grew up with that. Yeah, I have more aches and pains now than I used to, but my mind is still strong, which is the most important thing to me.

As to your aside, I hope that the ridiculous lust NEVER passes!

9. I like it.
My mother is 69 and shows no evidence of her age. She currently studying paining and Spanish, in Mexico. I admit, I don't know who she lusts for (my father being still very much alive and at her side) but she is probably the example I should follow. Thanks, SG!

11. How cool!
I think you only really start to decline if you lose interest in things. You're 69 and want to take up painting? Cool! 75 and want to teach a class? Go for it!

My mother, bless her heart, never lost her love and caring for others, no matter how ill she got. And she never lost interest in life. Her body finally gave out, but she never stopped living until the very end.

13. Aw, SeattleGirl, I can't think but you've inherited the blood.
Some of us have surrendered and some have not. You, clearly, have not which is why you are an idol of mine, even though you are not vastly older. You have a spirit that is recognizable, even over the internet, and I hope I have the same.

10. Trust me, my dear SG...
The lust never passes!

I think if I lose that, I will have started to die...

And that's just plain not happening, yet!

:P

14. Nothing wrong with a little healthy sexual attraction
Have you tried Google image search to see if you could find your lost picture?
