1. I wish they'd save themselves the time and money ..
and just run the original again. I'd be happy to watch it all. I love James Garner especially in that role.
Almost as much as I love Alan Rickman.

2. No one on the planet can do that role.
Geeze, couldn't they wait til I'm dead? I'd much rather see the original.

7. What about the pay toilets?
The credits was the only time I had seen one. I thought pay toilets was a joke until I saw it in the opening credits.

I saw pay toilets once in Paris at the Louvre. The little girl going into the stall after me looked at me like I had two heads when I held the door open for her. Where I come from, you do not shut a door in someone's face. Even if that door is to a bathroom stall.

11. Why? Because it's cheaper than having an original idea.
They'll just remake everything, and then go back and remake the remakes. Seek out new talent and turn good books (popular or not) into original movies? Too much work, too expensive and not marketable to existing movie-goers.

We've been dumbed-down in too many ways to list and this is one of the results.
