When MTV2 first started boradcasting it was a bad ass channel. |
|
They played a lot of music that you weren't going to hear any place else. They had incredibly knowledgeable V-jays. And, they showed music all the time. It was everything that MTV was not.
Now, it is fucking horrible. Why does every music channel have to go that way?

2. I remember when I got DirecTV in 2002 |

Man, MTV2 was pretty much all I had on after school, as they had not only music videos on but good music videos. Now it just stinks except from AMTV and that show where they air old stuff like Aeon Flux.

5. OMG, I just saw that song played live in concert by Asia |
|
I knew Asia had members from King Crimson, ELP and Yes, but didn't realize one of the original Buggles was also in Asia.

Geoff Downes was Asia's keyboardist. What surprises me is the association with Hans Zimmer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buggles

4. VH1 Classics used to absolutely rock!! |
|
They would play all the great videos from the 60s to the 80s/90s AND with no commericials.
Now it only shows repeats of all the bad programming they have on VH1
