After a death in family, then taking two trips in one week to care for my dad, |
|
we come home and my three year old refrigerator is warm. No ice, everything thawed over the weekend, throwing out over $150, I bet, in food. Fuck GE and fuck their GE Profile refrigerator, and fuck Sears, because I know they won't be able to get out to my home to fix it for 6 weeks, I bet.

2. No, the warranty is out by now. We had to have it serviced |

within the first few months after we bought it, IIRC, over an issue with the ice maker. It sounds like the compressor or fan is working.

3. I bought a GE A/C 2 years ago - it's POS. |
|
I had to assemble parts of it, and it tends to freeze solid when it is needed most. We are planning on buying a different brand this fall when they are on sale.
Newer GE stuff sucks.

4. I got lucky. I have an extended warranty of some sort. nt My biggest problem |
|
with sears is that they weren't providing repairpersons in a timely manner. This one got scheduled for this week, though, so I'm okay with that.
