Are people posting GD generally insane or is it a hit and miss sort of thing?

I've been attacked by gun nuts (how dare I say that it's NOT A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE GUNS IN BARS or NEAR THE PRESIDENT) recently. DU has gun nuts. Yikes.

I think it's in the water personally. Something that short-circuits the higher thought processes, and turns us unto a mob of foaming-at-the-mouth loonies, looking for Cylons to toss out airlocks, and not caring whether or not the people we toss out are actually Cylons or not.
