2. Yup. My team opens the season on Thursday... |
|
I love when they open the season a few days before most.
Cause then I can enjoy their win and then relax Saturday and watching endless hours of football!

They'll have the glory of a win on Thursday and then, on Saturday, get to see their archrivals crushed (if there is a god) by the mighty Oklahoma--it's a revenge game for my Sooners (and for me personally ;))

7. Yes and yes! GO UTES & SOONERS. |
|
It would do my heart good to see BYU get slaughtered by Oklahoma.
I actually think they will. They've had a horrible fall camp. Extremely beat up.
BOOMER SOONER (for a week, anyway ;) ).

4. unfortunately, petersond, I think you might be buying some caps this year |
|
I know a lot of people are high on the Sooners, and naturally I'm hopeful, but I'm not quite as confident as some commentators are, given how much they lost on offense. I know having Bradford back will help, but we'll see how the line and the receiving corps gel.
But as long as they beat BYU, I'll be happy :) (for a week at least)

8. I assume you already have a Kansas cap as well |
|
I'm a little skeptical about some of the Kansas talk this year, but since it's a road game for OU and comes the week after Texas it could be an interesting game.
I was in Lawrence the last time Oklahoma lost to the Jayhawks--Oklahoma gave up a 99-yard touchdown run; they also kicked a game-tying field goal with seconds left, only to have it negated on an illegal procedure penalty--naturally they missed the re-kick. Horrible memories of that weekend. It's a game you would have loved ;) :hi:

9. I do have a KU hat, but |
|
I'll get another one if KU beats OU, the UT hat I got, is because UT beat OU(Vince Young days).
I still can't find a Boise ST hat though, and I'm really skeptical of ordering one online, but I might have to bite the bullet and do so. That game still ranks as one of the best I've ever seen.

Your Wildcats are going to get their asses handed to them Sept. 19th in Iowa City. Looking forward to that. I believe an ABC Regional game. 2:30 CDT. Seriously, college football fans. I hope you plan on interacting in the Sports Forum. THE best time of year. By far!!

The Wildcats ate in the best shape in the Stoops years so I'm sure it will be a good contest.
P.S. Thanks for letting us have Lute Olson.

You get here, you got a place to stay, a ticket and a Tailgate spot. We're ranked #22 but we're beaten up at the tailback spot. The O line is one of the best, though. We'll be all right. A half hour stroll to Kinnick. Then, what a scene. One of the best tailgating schools in the country. That's not just me saying that. SI, The Sporting News, Playboy. Great fun.

One of the things that adds to my football season is hearing the marching band practice. I work on the campus of the UofA and listen and watch the "Pride of Arizona" go through their paces.

Iowa has to play out there next year, Ptah. We NEVER play well in the heat. BTW. I hear the marching band right now. But they suck. The worst.

Went up the hill to watch a little practice, this afternoon. Couldn't mistake Coach Ferentz's voice saying "stay low" followed by just a bit of some expletives. Coach Stoops is an Iowa grad. You probably knew that, though.
