Wherever you are newyawker99, I remember....bittersweet.
I came to DU as an activist looking for connections. I did not know how huge DU was.
My days on the streets took a toll on my being...I have since put down my signs and have retired to the lounge.
Those were the days....And that's when she welcomed me..

birthday/anniversary and MILESTONES threads for years, and was kind to everyone. She is much loved on DU...

Though having said that, it does seem like an eternity. I miss NY99 more than ever. Not only was she a wonderful presence on DU but she was a great moderator and friend whom I loved working with during my various mod tours. She was truly a wonderful, sweet and caring person and I have many fond memories of her. I hope she's OK and I hope one day we will see her again
