7. Chicken in white wine works better with shallots, maybe a bit of tarragon.
Which is OK for a change of pace, but the classic Coq au Vin (with a hearty red) is much, much better. (Thus says the man who hasn't cooked in a while because he (a) hates to shop, (b) hates to clean up a dirty kitchen, and therefore rarely cooks these days, but (c) loves to eat well, and has a relatively educated palate).
