The title of one of my kitties' autobiography: "I, Warp Drive"
I swear she hardly ever touches the floor, except when she eats. :P

For those of you keeping track, this would be Neutrino, aka Sister Mary Asgard, the "quick, pointy and fierce" kitty. :D

1. My quick pointy fierce kitty has slowed down considerably now that she is 15, but
every so often she can still hit warp drive and race the length of the trailer and back with her "pitcher handle" tail on. Sometimes her brother joins in and then they have a ferocious "fight." LOL

Funniest thing she ever did, well that I did to her. ...(evil mommy that I am!) was when she was maybe 4 months old.. a little less perhaps. She was crouched down on a folded sheet of newspaper on the floor. I crept up and smacked the paper, which made a wicked snapping noise, and she flipped. Literally! She did an honest to goodness back tuck. It was like Claude the cat in the old WB cartoons. And when she landed she had the ears back, eyes bugged out and pitcher handle tail on.

Second worse thing I ever did to the kittens was I used to pick them both up, one in each hand, and rub them against each other. Then I would "bowl" them across the floor and the would tear around the house chasing each other because I had gotten them all wound up.

Funniest thing they ever did themselves was we lived next to a very busy road near an intersection. Every time those tractor trailers did the air brake thing the cats would frantically try to run away. But if they were in the kitchen on the linoleum, they would just run in place unable to go anywhere. They were really good at looking like little cartoons sometimes.

2. Cool story!

Neutrino lived outside when we had the 2-story house, but her indoor cousins (who are actually her half-siblings, we're pretty sure) used to haul ass up the stairs, *bank* off the top wall, and land 15 feet into the living room behind them without touching the floor. It's freaky the first 1000 times you see it.

Neutrino has been known to hang head down on screen windows like a freaking squirrel. :wow:

3. LOL I'd love to see those flying kittehs! When I was growing up we had a very handsome
black tom who also did the pitcher handle tail thing. (You can just tell I love that in a kitteh, right?)

Now my parents' house is an old New Englander with front and back stairs and you can walk right through two of the bedrooms to get to either set of stairs. This kitteh would charge up the narrow back stairs, leap onto my bed, do several frantic turn arounds and then leap back off, go down the front stairs into the living room and go UP one curtain on the west window then DOWN the other curtain. Then he'd zoom through the kitchen and back up the back stairs. Even though he could have made a full circuit, he never ever did. It was always a back and forth thing instead. LOL

He was an awesome guy. We lost him to feline leukemia when I was in college. (I didn't get to say goodbye to any teen-hood pets. Two died in college and two after I married and moved away. :( )
