Am I handling this situation appropriately?

For the past 4 days I have been receiving text messages from a woman that I know has romantic interests in me. She's a nice enough person, but I have absolutely no interest in her and have never communicated to her any interest in any way. She managed to get my phone number from one of my friends without my permission after telling him about her intentions. So far, every time she has texted me I have simply ignored them. Is this appropriate?
