Whitney Houston has lost her voice
She's lucky she's got all those back up singers to drown her out. Hopefully this is a temporary thing. She had a remarkable voice

Houston denies voice problems at comeback gig

Whitney Houston has denied she suffered problems with her voice during a comeback gig in New York City, dismissing rumors she cut the concert short due to a vocal strain.

The R&B diva thrilled fans in Central Park on Tuesday morning by taking to the stage to tape a performance for "Good Morning America."

But the show was marred by reports the star couldn't manage her famed high notes, as she turned the mic on the audience during the crucial moments of her hit "I'm Every Woman." (Click here for the video.)

1. Sadly, it isn't what it was
She hasn't lost it completely, though. Her new CD is fine, though it could have used a bit of Rihanna-esque production spark.

10. The CD is like "pleasant background music"

I think she's capable of more, but I didn't think the CD was bad. I think she has lost a little range, and she knows that - not many soaring ballads on here. :hi:

7. She's what, 46 years old,
and she's been out of the business for a long, long time, much of it taken up with deep drug abuse, so, yeah, the voice goes.

That's a real squandering of what was a gorgeous gift. She really threw it away...........................

12. It didn't have to happen. Johnny Mathis talks about how he took care of his voice
he doesn't have the range of his youth, but he's still going strong in his 70s(?)

11. Cocaine is a helluva drug
She was about the most beautiful woman in the world and had an incredible voice. Then she met Cracky McCrackington and lost so much. It makes me sad.
