What music have you listened to lately?
Mine:

1. Bruce Springsteen - Magic (it's an amazing CD! Song-for-song even better than Working On A Dream, but Magic's muddled production puts it below WOAD by just a small notch.)

2. I'm still on a big A Fine Frenzy kick. Bought her iTunes exclusive single "Coming Around." You can listen to it on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbelJngvHvc

3. Singer songwriter Rachel Loy. Definitely worth checking out! She's a little like Fiona Apple, but with pop sensibility like A Fine Frenzy and Michelle Branch.

4. on full album listening party: Juliette Lewis - Terra Incognita (avoid, avoid, avoid! She oversings, and the music isn't even fun)

5. on full album listening party: Carly Patterson - Back To The Beginning (also avoid - it's generic and a bit too kiddie)

6. on full album listening party: Chevelle - Sci-Fi Crimes (pretty good for hard rock)

7. on full album listening party: Whitney Houston - I Look To You (it's ok, but probably not worth purchasing unless you are a big fan)

8. The Love Willows - Hey Hey (you can finally get it on iTunes! Fresh, rollicking, and a little retro, I highly recommend!)

Though I've been on a Johnny Cash kick lately.

Other than that, nothing fit for polite company.

Sistrenatus
Raw Radar War
Deathspell Omega (pretty much goes without saying)
Diagnose: Lebensgefahr
Nachtmystium
Church of Misery
Yob
Lightning Bolt
Old Time Relijun

8. Wow. Great set. I love Illegal Smile. And...
of course Led Zeppelin is my favorite. I'd love to have that whole list on my IPod. I've never been a huge Beatles fan or a Who fan but your choices for them were excellent. And Whiter Shade of Pale is up there in my top 10. Oh, and Shapes of Things. Great, great song.

The list is impressive, though - agree there!

14. I just discovered Fleet Foxes. They rock. I am in love with the song "Mykonos."
I swear, this band, it feels like they were transported here from 1968. 'S great.

15. I agree, BlueIris - haven't been able to buy their stuff, but I want to
Often the stuff I like gets panned by critics, and often what critics like gets panned by me - but Fleet Foxes deserve their praise. They have a slight Beach Boys meets My Morning Jacket vibe.
