Declawed Stray at my wife's work! |
|
Apparently everyone there feeds and takes care of the cat - but I can't help but worry for a completely (front and back) declawed cat out in the wild.
It just sounds really risky for this cat to be out there without any defenses other than run.
Shit, the cat can't even CLIMB!

A declawed cat will not survive outdoors.

Anyone want a cat that will let you touch it, but runs when someone tries to pick it up?

as a pacifist in Georgia. It may be a kindness to have it put down (if a home can't be found) rather than let it be mauled by a rat/opossum/raccoon and die slowly of infection.
If food is being provided, eventually an un-neutered male will claim the territory and kill or drive off this poor kitty.
EDIT: I have much experience in humane-trapping. PM me if you think you'll have trouble securing this stray.

Someone needs to adopt that cat ASAP.
No cat that has been fully declawed should be forced to live outside. That's an early death waiting to happen. :(
