Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax may tour together.
Now that would be awesome.

The first comes from an interview with Slayer's Kerry King in U.K. rock magazine Metal Hammer. King told the magazine the he has heard from several sources that Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich was thinking about planning a tour that would feature Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax

4. The Feudin' Four Tour.
Unfortunately, Kerry King also said this:

“I’ve heard people referencing Lars… I don’t know Lars that well and I haven’t heard it from Lars but apparently he’s talking to somebody about it. Maybe us, Metallica, Megadeth (and), I think he even threw in Anthrax and I said in this day and age, I know we had that time together but how do you leave out Machine Head? There’s better options than Anthrax and that’s nothing against Anthrax, but they’ve just been in pieces for quite some time and that doesn’t make as much sense to me.”

16. I've seen Machine Head. Not thrash metal.
I'd rather see Testament.

7. This would be one of the greatest tours ever in the history of the world.
It would be the greatest tour in the history of the world if Anthrax was replaced by Testament and Met and Mega were limited to only playing songs from the first four releases.

14. Everything I've read from Slayer lately...
...says that they don't look fondly on decades-old bands doing victory tours with warmed over hits.

So that leaves Anthrax out...lol.

(Okay, so it was only the one article in that guitar mag, but still...)

17. This is more thrash metal.
Slayer was hugely influential on death metal, but they're still a thrash band.

An equivalent death metal tour would be Death, Atheist, Possessed, and Obituary (or something like that). Of course, Chuck Schuldiner's dead, so never mind that. :(

28. Well...
...I'm a fan of both bands, and I've seen them both live on numerous occasions.

One thing I can tell you is a Slayer concert is more hazardous to a Metallica fan than the other way around. It's a little less civilized. And the Slayer crowd skews way more male than the Metallica crowd. Not saying anybody's out to get anybody. They're not. And I'm certain a huge chunk of the total fans are fans of both bands. It's just that I've noticed that a Slayer gig is just a way rougher scene than a Metallica gig. Bring yer boots.

29. I saw Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth on the same bill back in '91 or '92
It was at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa, CA.

During the Anthrax set people were removing the plastic liners from the garbage cans, wearing them like ponchos and setting them on fire in a mosh pit up at the top tier grassy area.

Megadeth seemed prissy. Nobody set their clothes on fire during their set.

KNAC!
