Mad Men makes me thirsty...

Seriously, thanks to all those here who urged me to watch it. Seasons 1&2 finished tonight. Very rewarding TV. Lots of strong acting, but the woman who plays Peggy is completely amazing in that role. So layered and nuanced.

1. Thirsty and jonesing for a smoke
It's astonishing television, and it makes me want to light up (a pipe in my case, since I'm a poseur like Paul Kinsey).

Elisabeth Moss is so great. The things that woman can do with her face...

My favorite moment of hers is in "For Those Who Think Young", when Pete asks Peggy if she wants to have children, and she just fearlessly holds a pause for what seems like an eternity before saying "Eventually." You can feel Peggy cycling through hundreds of appropriate but impolite responses.

2. Elisabeth Moss played a great annoying little girl on "Picket Fences"
She's had talent going way back.
