So a while back, I vented about my family's situation, and the horrible job market in general, here

During that thread, some kind DUer gave me a star, and a few mins later, my hubby (who was laid off over a year ago, and has been job searching since) got a call for an interview..

He got a job offer this morning, and it is a real job, not contract work, with health benefits, and vacation, and direct deposit, and a brand new convertible (ok, joking, but I do feel like I just won the lottery). It is the type of job that has security...

This horrible, horrible year is almost over for my family. Maybe I can start sleeping at nights now, I can get cable (Rachel, Mad Men! Don't Judge!), I can start sending my local candidates donations again....

And the good karma started when I got that star......THANK YOU, kindness of strangers...

And if you are job searching, don't give up, it can happen, even in this wonky job market, it can happen and it will....

Good luck on your job search, sometimes I think that employed people don't understand how rough it is out there right now. Keep positive, which is easy for me to say now. :) It will happen for you...
