5. He's a fucking nut job, and he's got a temper.
George Prescott Bush

http://www.answers.com/topic/george-prescott-bush

On December 31, 1994, when he was 18, thesmokinggun.com stated that Bush appeared at 4:00 AM at the Miami home of a former girlfriend. The police took a statement and wrote a report. According to the statement, he allegedly entered into the house through the woman's bedroom window and, after entering the home, argued with his ex's father. The report indicates that Bush left the scene, returning in his SUV, which was driven across the home's front lawn.<3><4> Ben Fenton, writing for The Telegraph in 2001, stated that the owners declined to pursue the matter, so no charges were filed.<5>

8. I'll pick him.
I like the lobotomized-date-rapist look. That expression is exactly what I'd expect of a taxidermy head mounted on a wall.

18. My dad called my children 'the little heathens"
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 11:07 AM by rebel with a cause
I overlooked it because I knew he was just joking (yeah, right) but my daughter has never forgot or forgiven him for it even though he has been dead for twenty-three years now. Funny thing that she cannot remember many of the good things from her childhood but remembers this.

My father was crazy about her when she was a baby, called her his little papoose. My mother was part American Indian and looked it. My father loved her and her tan skin. But over the next few years the influence from his second wife and some of my siblings seemed to change those feelings toward my daughter and her brother. Of course, I lived away from them and there were four years (age 1-5) where he did not have any contact with her. I will not get into the things said about my son.

19. Wow ...
I don't get how supposedly mature adults can have this bad judgment, especially when it comes to their own grandchildren.

My father occasionally said insensitive comments which did rankle, and he didn't always treat the grandchildren equally. They were quite young when he died, though, so they were never aware. He was completely unaware that he frequently hurt our feelings. He had many good qualities, though.

21. I guess the same can be said for my father.
When we visited my father when my daughter was one, he was crazy about her and I have fond memories of how he treated her then. Two years after my daughter was born, my brother had a son. My father's then wife basically adopted that baby and they kept him much of the time while his parents worked. When I moved back to my home town, some four years later, things had changed. It seemed to be a big competition between my children and this child (not my doing) and I just didn't care to be a part of it. Before my father died there became a full out family war between some of my siblings and I got caught in the middle of it. Some of the things done to my children by him (and them) in the last years of my father's life made it hard for me to feel much grief in his passing. I have come to terms with the fact that he had been influenced by those around him (his wife and some of my siblings)but my children were too young for them to come to that understanding of their memories.

It is all old news now, but people need to think about the way they treat their children and grandchildren. I made plenty of mistakes of my own with my kids and I spend half of my time now apologizing before it is too late.

27. Aaaah, KATE.
I love Kate in the same way that I love Natalie Merchant. You could probably spend the rest of your life with either one of them and not come close to figuring them out, but it sure would be fun trying.

And let's remember that one of the earliest shepherds of Kate's career was David Gilmour, so she's got THAT going for her too.

My favorite Kate song's gotta be "Cloudbusting"...
