Do people actually like a lot of head
in their beer?

I hate having a lot of foam in my beer, yet there's a Sam Adams commerical boasting how much head there is.

Or perhaps this is just a sexual innuendo the fine people of Sam Adams have stuck in their commercial? ;-)

3. Giving good head is a tricky art
Most bartenders never really master it.

4. I liked this bar in Belfast, Northern Ireland
The bartenders would pour the guiness till it was about a quarter inch from the top, then they'd let it sit and let the head go down, then fill it to the top. Very minimal head, all beer.

7. Is it wrong to tell a female bartender...
who pours an excellent mug of beer that she gives good head?

8. It carries the aromas in ways that headless beer will not.
Also, beer with a towering head will have lost a lot of hop oil to evaporation, which will temper things if you don't like ultra-hoppy flavors.

It's a choice.
