This movie was rated G?? It was intended for kids??
from 'We're Back! A Dinosaur Story'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCzHlm9Wr3A
First watch this scene, which was cut from the movie because it was deemed too damned scary for kids.
It's too damned scary for ME!
:wow: :yoiks: :scared:

So what happens to him later in the movie?

1. I remember seeing that when I was a kid
I found it dull and trying too hard to be hip, like the Dinosaur Parade Scene. Even then I was discerning between the superior stuff from Disney and the pale imitations from WB, Universal, Fox, what have you. Some of Don Bluth's stuff was alright.

2. As far as Don Bluth is concerned, the Secret of NIMH is my favorite animated movie ever.
So he wins there.
An American Tale is pretty awesome, too. Those movies showed real potential...what the hell happened to him?

5. Hey kids! If a crow pecks out your eye, don't worry, it'll come back some day to finish the job!

6. The same with the beloved WALL*E.
Destruction of pretty much all life on the planet through greed and materialism, capitalism as government, consumerism as religion, loss of physical ability and will, utter isolation and virtual reality, machines in control...oh yeah, and a love story to boot ;)

7. That's not that bad at all.
I can't believe they cut it, actually.

8. Look at it from the point of view of a little kid.
I'm pretty sure most kids would find that scene incredibly disturbing...he's talking about a crow plucking out his friggin eye as a child.

9. Perhaps.
I still think it's rather tame compared to what most kids are exposed to nowadays.
