Anybody ever have surgery for a deviated septum - did it help? |
|
I am thinking about having it done just to improve my breathing, and I am wondering if it's worth the pain and effort. I used to get frequent infections, but have not had that problem since I retired. I sometimes use those "Breathe Right" adhesive strips and the increased ease of breathing is very notable, and I have higher energy and sleep better using them.
How did it turn out for you?
Thanks.

1. My sister did, and it did help. She's said she wished she had done it sooner. nt |

No longer sounded like a steam engine when I tried to take a deep breath. In fact could breathe normally for a change.
The operation wasn't a big deal. Very little pain - mainly mild discomfort, no post op problems. The couple of stitches came out easily (I took them out myself). That was 30 years ago. No doubt the procedure is even easier now.
Get it done; you'll feel better.
