My boss has two chairs and a couch in his office. When his visitors are two men and a woman - as is frequent because of the team he sees most often - the woman invariably ends up sitting on the couch. Maybe she prefers it. I don't know.
Why does this bother me?

2. Maybe the men let her sit down first and she always pick the couch. I know I would. |

At my company, prospective pilots had to interview with a shrink as part of the hiring process. The shrink was famous for having a rocking chair and a standard chair in his office. Supposedly he attached great importance to which chair you chose, and whether or not you rocked if you were in the rocking chair.
I was lucky. I got an associate shrink with only one chair in his office. Even I couldn't screw that up!
