XM Radio users - Equipment question
I just bought a truck with XM Radio. I am using the factory installed radio to listen to my XM Trial(runs out in Oct).
I really dig it and am thinking of subscribing.
Having said that, I'm looking for advice on a in-car player.
I've been looking on their website and see that they are add-on type things rather then a complete in dash.
So I'm looking for input. Good, bad, indifferent? Stick with the factory installed?

1. You can get a different in-dash radio
that will have XM capability at any car stereo specialty store. The add-on deals are not all that great in cars because of all the wires and they tend to be a bit awkward. They are excellent for people like me who drive trucks for a living and who can't modify their vehicles. A lot of us also have to switch trucks here and there and you get the picture. I would stick with your current set-up unless you are just looking for a nicer receiver.

2. Thanks, that's what I was thinking
Nonetheless being new to it I thought I'd ask. You never know.
I might check an in-dash capable system, but for that kind of money, installation etc, I might be happy with what I have.
It works, it's simple. Sometimes better not to mess with things.

3. I've been happy with my factory system
But mine came with the Bose system. I'm not a big fan of the Bose stuff, but for a vehicle system it's not bad. I'm not sure why you'd want to upgrade the factory system, unless there's some sort of feature you have to have. If it's sound quality you're after, you'd probably be better off upgrading the speakers and/or adding a subwoofer.
