Odd use of technology

This morning I had a sticky note on my desk. I assumed a co-worker left the note. When I logged on I had an email from a co-worker telling me she left a note. I'm not sure why she didn't just send an email in the first place and skip the note.

Was the note something personal, something she wouldn't want recorded on a server someplace?

Back when I had a pager, my mom used to call it and leave me a voicemail. I'd check the pager, see the voicemail notification, go find a quarter and call the voicemail, and the message would tell me to please call her. LEAVE ME YOUR DAMN NUMBER, THEN! :rofl:

2. Not personal.

The note contained the path and filenames for two files to be restored from backup. We work in IT so that makes it even weirder. Most of us IT people are loathe to write anything down on paper if we can keep from it.
