I have never had sri lankan food before, but am going tonight with a few sri lankan friends and am most excited.
Any new cuisines you have tried lately?

1. Have never had Sri Lankan |
|
We expect a review. :-)
Nothing new lately - but did introduce one of my oldest friends to Persian cuisine when he was in town on business recently. He is open-minded about food, but just never took the opportunity.
I would say my most recent new discovery was Peruvian, last year. Great chicken and rice dishes.

3. I find many foreign type foods to be yucky. |
|
I try some different dishes at the Chinese restaurant sometimes. I recently tried the pork fried rice. It was ok, but tasted almost the same as the chicken kind I usually get.

14. Broaden your horizons! There's a whole world of great food out there. |
|
If the only "foreign" food you've ever had is pork fried rice, you really need to be a little more adventuresome and less closed-minded. You're missing a lot.

5. Foreigners are from Satan. Therefore, foreign food is also of Satan. |

You're in America - eat American food, like bratwurst, lutefisk, meatballs, spaghetti, corned beef, Spanish rice, Italian Bread, German Potato Salad, Irish Creme, Black Forest Cherry Torte, Lima Beans, Polish Sausage, Hungarian Goulash, and French Onion Soup!!
Sri Lanka. Sheesh. I don't think they even have cooking there yet, do they?

Sadly, since I live in a cultural black hole, I have not tried any new foreign food in years.
I think the last time I had something new was at Buenos Aires in Santa Barbara. :(
