You're likely to be dead a long time before anyone even knows about it. (Unless of course you live with a next of kin) and then as we have cut back services to the bone, you may well resurrect/reincarnate before we have the paperwork done stating that you're officially dead.
All joking aside, Riverside County would have your death certificate.

Place of death is where the death certificate can be found, unless it's before the time of state reporting. Back then sometimes the person's county or locality of residence would have a filing too.
