My boyfriend of three years is being sent to an Intermediate Sanction Facility (some community service/ prison lite type place) for six months. He did something dumb at age 18 (haven't we all?) and has been on probation
He decided he was tired of managing sub shops (his probation officer seem to like him doing this more than him furthering himself with school oddly enough) so last year almost on a whim we packed up to Waco and he enrolled in TSTC's Aircraft Pilot Training Program hopefully to earn a degree and certifications. He worked diligently in the classroom,cockpit and waiting tables .This sadly left him little time and money to do community service and pay court costs Any way I dropped him off yesterday at the at the place(thankfully enough no bars and he got to bring his own socks and underwear).At least he will have healthcare and finally be able to get his teeth checked out!
I am in Austin right now just kind of in a daze . It really just hit me late last night while watching some Star Trek (it is so much better when you get to snuggle on the couch with your trekker SO and beer)that he is not here .

As others have said, call and visit him as much as you can... and also, try to stay busy with productive stuff. If you do any kind of art,play an instrument, or write etc... try to step that up . Hang with friends, see live music ( can't beat Austin for that and I seem to recall a recent post where you said that was an interest you don't have in common)...Stay busy and the time will go by more quickly and keep reminding yourself that it is only a temporary situation.
