Just wonder if I'm unique or just a little odd...

Can't stand the game. Hardly ever drink: one beer every two or three months. Thinking about changing that, though: I may start trying to swallow one or two a week, just on principle, starting right now (with a nice black ale)

I don't drink and I could care less about sports in general. I've tasted beer and it tasted absolutely awful, how so many people enjoy it is beyond me, I guess because it's addictive.
As for sports, I never really got into it, I've tried but it just never fascinated me like it does for other people. I enjoy playing football and other sports but watching them just puts me to sleep, no offense.

24. You have to train yourself to like it. |
|
Alcohol isn't candy or juice so your first instinct is repulsion. Then, after six or seven drinks later you start drinking just for the buzz. Later on you recall that buzz and then you start enjoying its revolting flavor.

Can't stand watching a game of american football. One of the driest sports of all time. Watch a play, stand around a few minutes, reset the clock, measure the ball, yadda, yadda, yadda, yawn. As for beer, I've been clean for six months and can't handle the taste of it any more. Whaddya do?

I don't drink, and would greatly appreciate a cable menu that was a-la-carte; I hate paying for dozens of sports channels that I never watch in order to have access to programs I do want. The fanaticism with sports is bizarre; people with barely enough to feed themselves and their families pay ridiculous prices to wear team junk. I have friends who move into separate bedrooms during football season; their husbands are so hooked that the game details govern their moods for days, win or lose. Twisted.
