Lily Allen's song '22' is a total rip-off of Paul McCartney's 'Another Day!'
Storywise.

Phew! Glad to get that off my chest!

(Generally, you would have to be under the age of thirty to even know who Lily Allen is, so if you don't, don't worry about it)

22
Songwriters: Allen, Lily; Kurstin, Gregory;

When she was 22 the future looked bright
But she's nearly 30 now and she's out every night
I see that look in her face, she's got that look in her eye
She's thinking how did I get here and wondering why

It's sad but it's true how society says her life is already over
There's nothing to do and there's nothing to say
'Til the man of her dreams comes along
Picks her up and puts her over his shoulder
It seems so unlikely in this day and age

She's got an alright job but it's not a career
Whenever she thinks about it, it brings her to tears
'Cause all she wants is a boyfriend, she gets one night stands
She's thinking how did I get here, I'm doing all that I can

It's sad but it's true how society says her life is already over
There's nothing to do and there's nothing to say
'Til the man of her dreams comes along
Picks her up and puts her over his shoulder
It seems so unlikely in this day and age

It's sad but it's true how society says her life is already over
There's nothing to do and there's nothing to say
'Til the man of her dreams comes along
Picks her up and puts her over his shoulder
It seems so unlikely in this day and age

Another Day lyrics:
Songwriter: Paul McCartney

Ev'ry day she takes a morning bath
She wets her hair
wraps a tow'l around her
As she's heading for the bedroom chair.
It's just another day.
Slipping into stockings
stepping into shoes

Dipping in the pocket of her raincoat
(Last only) Ah
it's just another day.

At the office where the papers grow
She takes a break drinls another coffee
And she finds it hard to stay awake
It's just another day.

It's just another day.

It's just another day
So sad
so sad
Sometimes she feels.
So sad
alone in her apartment
She'd dwell.
Till the man of her dreams
Comes to break the spell.
Ah
stay
don't stand around
And he comes and he stays
But he leaves the next day.
Sometimes she feels
So sad
so sad.

As she posts another letter
To the sound of five.
People gather round her
And she finds it hard to stay alive.
It's just another day.

1. Meh. It's similar at best, thematically.
I highly doubt Lily Allen is trolling forgotten Paul McCartney solo work for song ideas.
I mean, come on, how many songs have basically the same storyline as other songs? It's not like rock music is rife with originality, aside from some exceptions.
